Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out activities that are not permitted on the TrustVault platform (the “Service”). It supplements our Terms of Service. Breach of this AUP may result in suspension or termination of your account, removal of content, and legal action.
2. You must not
Violate laws or third-party rights
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, including fraud or money laundering
- Submit false, forged, or stolen identity documents
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
- Upload content that infringes another person’s copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights
- Upload content containing personal information about people who have not consented
Compromise security or integrity
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without authorization
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, data, systems, or networks
- Bypass any access or rate-limiting controls (e.g. authentication, session timeouts, IP-based alerts)
- Upload viruses, malware, ransomware, or any code that could harm the Service or its users
- Use the Service to launch denial-of-service attacks or to relay spam
Misuse the Service
- Resell, rebrand, or sublicense the Service without our written consent (white-labelling is available only on supported plans)
- Use automated scripts, scrapers, or bots to access the Service except via documented public APIs
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except as expressly permitted by law
- Upload content unrelated to a legitimate mortgage application (e.g. random files, jokes, marketing material)
Mistreat people
- Send harassing, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or discriminatory messages through the communication features
- Use the Service to share content that is hateful, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate for a professional mortgage workflow
3. Subscriber-specific rules
- Only invite Clients you have a legitimate professional relationship with
- Obtain proper consent from each Client before collecting their personal information through the Service
- Do not retain access to a Client’s file after the engagement has ended
- Use Client information only for the mortgage transaction it was collected for, never for unrelated marketing
4. Reporting violations
If you believe someone is misusing the Service, please email privacy@thetrustvault.app with details. We investigate all reports and will not retaliate against good-faith reporters.
5. Consequences of violations
We may, at our sole discretion and without prior notice:
- Remove content that violates this AUP
- Suspend or terminate the offending account
- Refuse refunds for terminated subscriptions
- Cooperate with law enforcement and report criminal activity
- Pursue civil remedies for any damage caused
6. Changes to this AUP
We may update this AUP from time to time. The “Effective” date at the top reflects the latest version. Continued use of the Service means you accept the updated AUP.
